Question Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Or Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music?

Hey Guys!,
Am a Heavy audiophile and don't want to reret buying the wrong thing.
I Need help! am thinking of Upgrading my Sound-card
PCI-E Express X-Fi Xtreme Audio!,
Coz of capability issues i have with my Motherbord against the card! in vista!

I Searched thu creatives site and found the specification differences were not that much!.
I Use my Pc Mainly to play High End Pc Games, But Still Like to play music with it!

Now my question is which one should i get!,
If i get the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer will i loose out in Music Playback X-fi Capabilitys!
Or if i get The X-Fi Xtreme Music will i loose out in gaming EAX and xfi quality! sampling..

HELP..!!

Well in Vista you pretty much loose all of those features no matter what card you go for so it doesn't really matter, Although I would say the Music is a little bit better.

I'd get the new X-Fi Titanium card, if you have a PCI-E x1 slot. Virtually 0 issues with Vista, and more updated than the X-Fi XtremeGamer.

Other than that, go with the XtremeGamer.

lol the gamer and music do the exact same things. the gamer replaced the music. either one will make you happy in games. the differences are:

gamer is smaller, has an optical out, has an ac97 headphone/mic hookup for a computer case (it doesnt work well)

music is full sized, has a digital out, gold plated plugs. a nice working ac97 hookup can be made easily or purchased. nicer opamps can be soldered in by the advanced peeps. some musics have had quiet mic problems. also a music has a hookup for a bay mounted front panel (like the platinum)

Neither...creative is a horrible company with horrible products...I'd grab an Asus sound card myself.

Pretty arrogant statement right there. Both are solid sound cards but I would opt for the Music myself.

Pretty good statement. Creative service stinks. It took them way to long to get half way decent vista drivers. If you want them to play good music you have to mod them.

I second the Asus card. Only reason I have a creative is because they were the only thing on the market at the time.

wow, thats pretty biased... you don't have to mod them to play well... the newer cards such as the titanium have drivers which have no issues whatsoever... don't base your opinions solely on your own experience... I've seen many other people who have been happy with their creative sound cards
