Default Usb turntable, pointless?

So I just bought that^ turntable, mostly for the USB connectivity. But unless I'm doing something wrong, I can't get it to stream audio to the speakers, it will only record it. Can usb turntables not transmit live signal over usb?

Also the second major disappointment: Usb records at 16-bit/48Khz w t f! I see no reason for it not to be 24-bit/96khz, but I suppose they think CD will always rule the world?

Anyway I just to know if usb is only for recording AND would I be able to get a better recording@24bit/96hz analogue line-in rather then the usb port?

You should have gotten a MIDI turntable...

I don't know about live streaming, but I have a MIDI-USB converter and it only picks up the keys I hit on my keyboard.

What would be the point of a midi turntable? He want's audio data, not midi data. To answer the OP, I don't think there are any USB turntables that can transmit data through the USB interface. You should go for a good turntable with analog outs and run them into the line in of you sound card for streaming and a high quality ADC for recording.

Exactly, midi is nothing more then a bunch of varible numbers and commands, not sound data.

You should have gone with a nice table and preamp.

if you want a usb table, then u should have gone with Pro-ject's USB table, it has both analog out and USB out, and is actually a quality table... ie, not plastic like the one u got
