From what i understand only certain things will play in 5.1 surround...None of my music will play out of my back two or my middle speaker, so far the only thing ive gotten to use all 5 is cod4, is there a way to get everything that plays to come out of all of the speakers?

What speakers do you have? If you have the G51 you should have a button that says matrix mode and that will convert your music to 5.1.

What on-board sound do you have? I can't remember any specific names because I haven't used on-board since I was 12-13.

Check 'Speaker Fill' and see if that works. If it doesn't go to Device Advanced Settings on top right. Post another pic of new menu.

Edit: I don't think it would be Stereo Mix because I'm thinking it would be Equalizer settings.

Ah, here we go. Check the box to output front and rear device playback simultaneously.

That should be something among the lines as an old Audigy that I used to have. CMSS 3D, it would up-mix the sound through all speakers.

The option for playback simultaneously if only if he wants to hear it through the headphones and speakers at the same time.
