Default Say I want to get the Koss KSC-75...

...Because I'm a cheap 'Low-fier', what improvements can be made to it? From what I've read, a recable should be inorder, using some 28AWG - 30AWG SPC in a 4-wire round braid covered with multi filament nylon, and the kramer-mod. Where can I get the Koss inexpensively that doesn't charge an arm for shipping and places for wire that doesn't cost a bunch? I have Starquad, but that stuff is way to thick for these puny clip-ons.

Thanks, Brendan

Recable and modding it to have a headband is the most I have seen done to one.

Btw, find a KSC35. It's superior to the newer 75.

just bypass the volume control-ez mod -helps a lot

the koss ur40 uses the same drivers in a headphone design instead of earclips and has no volume control (a good thing)

not sure all the posts with instructions, but basically...

1. recable, go with some Mogami (my recomendation)
2. drill extra holes in the plastic piece that covers the driver (grill)
3. quarter-mod the pads
4. headband if you want... the ksc75 drivers will fit right in a sony v150 housing.
