I got a Creative Audigy SE soundcard today. I play MP3s just fine but when I try to watch a DVD, there is static. I tried moving PCI slots, downloading patches and troubleshooting at Creative's website. Any ideas? Thanks, major rep.

It might be your speakers, most of the time static is a sighn that there isn't enough insulation in your cables.
what speakers do you use?

Oh, never thought of that. I'm using some crappy Logitec speakers. I'll try different ones.
