Default High end?

I have Z5500's on my gaming rig... for my high end I have an antham D2 paired with a statement A5... with 4 Definitive Technology BT10B speakers.

I dont want to hear the words high end ever used again for a system under $15K

Diminishing returns my friend. Diminishing returns. $3k is more than enough for a "high-end" system in my book, provided you know what you're buying. Hell, $1k is enough if you go used on some things and build the rest yourself - it isn't always about the amount of money man, it's how it's used.

Still, I sorta expected to see some speakerbuilding in this thread. However, I like to see people spend time and money on what they enjoy also.

while others wouldn't consider a pair of $3K speakers 'high' end.

quite honestly, my main speakers retail for about $1.2k and I would consider them mid-fi.
