I've heard some good things about it.

Personally, I think I'd try to find a closeout/clearance Marantz since the new models are out, but they might still be out of price range.

My personal choice would be a tube based pre/headphone amp/linestage and a solid state/chip power amp but once again out of price range

I just did that , got myself a Marantz PM4001 which I'm very happy with

Looks like im probably going to get a Gizmo. The T-amp is currently pending and ill be getting a little bit funds from that.
