**** as soloz said, you've been robbed by monster cable. Honestly check out the Zu promotional material on ebay... cheap and great quality. Or go to your local liquidation/surplus store and look for some cheap cable there... I get Acoustic Research RC interconnects for $2.00 @ our local surplus store. And I pay $.27/ft for speaker cable there too...

Lol not really. Discounts, discounts, discounts. I payed about only about 25% of what they go for.

The most expensive thing was the 100 ft spool, which was only $20 after the fact. The rest was like $6-7 each with my discount.

Got my receiver last night, X-Fi Prelude supposed to be here on Tuesday.

Still no shippage on the speakers unforunately.

But I do have another question. With the HD555, a burn-in/break-in period of 100 hours is recommended. I found this website for burn-in/break-in .wav files.

Should I go with straight pink noise, straight white noise, or a combination of them and for how long at a time? Is it "safe" to allow them to burn in for an extended period of time (ie 25+ hours at a single time)

pink noise tends to work a bit faster, but regular music will work too. I have a pink noise disc somewhere, but whenever I misplace it I just use a nice classical or jazz disc and set it to repeat all tracks.
