They did-ish. but i am wondering if i should go get a cheap set of 5.1's that are meant for a computer, because i feel like converting through a sub, then through a cable then converted through the sound card would make it alot lower then just into the sound card...any opinion?

If you use just 1 set of stereo leads to get surround sound it will be Dolby pro logic. To have 5.1 sound, you will need to connect via 6 phono plugs(5 for speakers , 1 for sub) or use digital out from your computer to a digital decoder in the amp.

just buy a set of logitec 530's 5.1 for ~50 bucks, thats what i use on a daily basis, and they are WONDERFUL. cant beat 'em for the price.

well, i guess that you cant get the 530's on newegg or TD anymore, but they have been replaced with the 540's.. they are the EXACT same thing, just different housings.

check ur local walmart, meijer, for the 530's, i got mine at WM for ~50.

anyway the 540's....

Is there a cheaper 5.1 system? i would really only use them for gaming. for i use headphones for music.
