The concept of this sounds extremely convenient and I would love to use some library capable player (fubar, winamp, wmp, etc whatever), however everytime I ever have used one, the tags are all completely off the wall and I can't find jack **** (hence why I just use vlc)/have alot of duplicate albums - probably due in part because over the years I have used many different ripping tools and in part because of old illegal music downloads (like 7 years ago-once I developed some morals, I quit that ****). Is there some easy way to get this stuff organized so that I can have a fully functional media library without having to edit each individual music file tag?

If you use WMP, you can right click an album and go to Find Album Info. This will edit your tags for each individual album at once. Of course, you have to edit each album individually.

Unfortunately not. Making a music library and having it tagged properly is a stupendous task. One thing you could try is use Media Jukebox and then use the "Find track information" function but this has varying results.
