Certainly, I have made that exact recommendation a number of times.

That being said, IEM's and portable solutions in general will always sacrifice something in the way of value. A full-size, desktop headphone rig is to a portable setup as a desktop pc is to a laptop. It seems to be a universal analogy across the entire spectrum of goods.

yep totally. i dont mind the funky sound signiture that much tho. my a700's dont exactly have the most pleantiful bass. so when i just want to be a basshead i pop them in and enjoy. also they are comfy to sleep with. and i dont look like an extra terestrial when wareing the fx33's (not that i give a flying about what other people think of me)
