I would get an ipod. I have one and I really like it, I don't have a Zune but I've played with one and I prefer the ipod.

I vote Zune.

I had a 1st gen 2GB nano from three years ago until last christmas when i got a 4GB zune, and now i own an ipod touch 8GB. In my opinion there is no contest between the zune and ipods in terms of interface or media program.

Everyone else in my family has an ipod because.. we'll they're ipods, and no one really consulted me about the purchase haha
Comparing my zune with 1st-3rd generation nano's, there is no contest.. the interface is so much cleaner and more easily navigatable than the ipod, and the zune software is so streamlined and profesional its crazy.

Only reason i have the ipod touch is because i got it for a really good deal through a trade. I would not have bought it or any other ipod for that matter as the touch is the only one that has features above the zune.

Go to best buy and ask a rep to see a fully functioning one with music on it.. the display ones are usually locked (as they are until you connect it to a computer with the zune software)

My vote goes to the zune.

kool thanks for all the replies. I will probably be able to notic the different since i use £30-£50 sony earbuds while out and ATH A900's when at home.

I would prefer the Zune. The screen is huge and display is really nice, which I really love. Plus Zune store or w/e is amazing, all the time it just offers like, free albums and stuff which is really nice. I love the interface on the Zune, it simple, organized, and while many will complain about the 3 day limit on song sharing between Zunes I really enjoy it, coming from a school where everyone has one of these things they are almost used more than cellphones.... haha because everyone has 120gb and sharing it with their friends.... plus if you really hate it that much there is tricks to remove the file restrictions on them... probably cant explain them here due to TOS but point being, the wireless really does come in handy.
