I think the Z-5500 is worth the extra money and if you want to get a good price Amazon has them really cheap.

I have seen the Z-5500's around the $180 mark with free shipping, which IMO makes them a steal. Keep your eyes open as there are usually good delas floating around like computergeeks has them Refurbished for $150 right now.

if you arent in a rush, wait for it to go onsale. At one point the z-5500s were 189$ CAD on tigerdirect.ca.... There is sure to be some after christmas/boxing day sales at a similar price. Whatever you get hope you like it.

Wow, so cheap? That makes me want to wait until Boxing Day just for a chance to get those instead of a G51...

Also, Yoshiba, a dedicated sound card will always make your sound better than integrated audio, especially in games. Now what I can't say is wether just about any sound card will do or should you shoot for premium sound cards...
