They look like good quality speakers, but I have never used them or own them personally.

I think g51 will do the job really good, so a good sound card will do the rest and z5500 hm...It's great to have them but g51 just rock

I have x540 and would not change them for anything, they do their job so well that i just can't stand hearing about _ _ _ rms when 70rms shakes my house

I have the 5500's and whoever said they are only good if in 5.1 mode is wrong. There is a setting for 3.1 as well and still sound good. Only downfall is the mids aren't that great. Mostly high and lows but the bass is nice and clear
