Default Denon AH-C551K Headphones

Saw these headphones on sale @ amazon

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...BPC5J&v=glance

Are they any good? Would these be good headphones for the $50 range?

They are excellent headphones, for the price. They have aluminum casing, so they're very light and comfortable. They take a beating too, my god i stepped on mine so many times. They're much warmer/punchier than the average IEM/Earbud. I would highly recommend them :]

just because you can find them at that price other places or because they are not going for a better price then usual doesn't mean they they aren't a good headphone for the price.
i have heard great things about them them, especially for a 50 dollar pair of IEMs

I did some research over at Head-Fi about the set and the 751's. They basically said there isnt much of a difference and most went back to their 551's.

I own the 551 set with a pair of custom ear molds.

Hi, I own the C551s as well and they are very good for the price, especially for hip-hop/rap types of music. I researched them a while ago but IIRC, the difference between the C5xx and C7xx is that the C7xx have more refined mids and highs although the bass may not be as good. Also, the C7xx are bigger and protrude more out of your ears which combined with their heavy weight may not be so good. I would say going up to the C7xx is not worth it.
