Sound card input is very low. I've all windows settings set correctly and all microphone options turned up but i can't find an option to turn up the audigy settings. All i have is this creative alchemy bloatware. Is there some sort of app that i can dl that will allow me to increase the outbound of my sound card? Thanks to anyone with any advice!

In you music player for example in foobar you can boost output, try installing everything on the disk also is your card seated probably?

yes the card is seated properly because i just reassembled computer couple days ago and this has been an ongoing issue. No idea what foobar is. Was just wondering if Creative or some other 3rd party provider had some software that allowed for microphone outbound/boost to be increased.

just googled foobar and this isn't the problem. It's the microphone volume that is extremely low.

In control panel, under hardware and sound, there should be a specific icon for your audigy ( called audio console). I am assuming you installed the full set of drivers from here: http://support.creative.com/Products...e=Audigy+Value

Probably because you aren't using the 20db boost. You can try turning it on in your sound settings (in the control panel).

I always have trouble with microphones. Go through every setting twice, some times you miss the most obvious things when you're frustrated and trying to figure out what is going on.

I'm not givin a mic boost option and i'm not sure what u mean by make sure your microphone isn't plugged in. I'm trying to get the microphone to work i have no idea how not having it plugged in would help. rep+ to all of u
