Default Which PC speakers are mountable to floor-stands?

I'm looking for a set of high-quality 2.1 PC speakers. I'll be using them for my digital piano, which is also hooked into my computer. These particular speakers will be coming from my piano's headphone jack. That way I don't have to get too fancy with an external amp and all that nonsense.

I am absolutely sure that this is the setup that I want for my piano, simply 2.1 PC speakers coming out of the headphone jack.

But I would also like for thse speakers to be floor-standing. So far I have only found one speaker that has the OEM option of being floor standing, the Klipsch GMX series.

However, there is this, the Sanus floor stand that supposedly works with any speakers that have a wall mount option (speaker not included).

So my question is: Has anyone else out there dealt with this? Any recommendations? Do you know of a high-end speaker that has a mounting option? I was going to get the Logitech Z-2300s, but they apparently have no mounting option.

Any help is appreciated!!

I wondered the same thing one day, and realized that almost no PC speaker set supports that, so I made a little something myself. This was made out of an old, wooden chopping board, and the speakers are Logitech Z5300's.

I use to have my computer Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 mounted on floor stands and hocked to my stereo surround, before I purchased my Polkaudio speakers.

The Cambridge Soundworks will hookup to floor stands in a pinch!!!

^^Very cool! Where did the telescoping stand come from?

I'll probably stick with a pre-fab solution because I'm lazy, but that is a very cool solution.

It sounds like you're saying that the Cambridge Soundworks (which also makes a 2.1) would mount to that Sanus stand through some kind of wall mount or keyhole mount. Those speakers are pricey, but it would be worth it if that is my only choice. Thanks for the tip!

Just about the best overall purpose-built multimedia speakers are the Klipsch ProMedia series (not the GMX). These will sound fantastic, and support the same stand mounting as the GMX series.

Since the mount for all the Klipsch speakers is on the bottom, you'd have to use one of their wall-mount brackets if you wanted the Sanus stand, but you might still come out ahead.

Thank you for the response. I'll get the ProMedia since I was thinking of that speaker anyway.

I would like for the stands to be black as well, so I'll look into using some that I just found on Omnimount's Web site. Hopefully the wall bracket will look ok when mounted onto the stand.

is there really a need for a bass? I mean its a piano, not a drum kit... I know the lower octaves, have some reverberations, but I believe that a Bass would ruin the harmony that a piano has. I <3 my Baby Grand. Just my opinion...

Yes bass on this is absolutely necessary to get a sustained note from the lower octaves. Not a punchy kind of bass, but something to round out the 88 keys. You turn down subwoofer a lot though.
