My headphones (HD201) are awesome, cheap too, but I find that the wire on them is way too thin. I am afraid of rolling over the wire with my chair, and breaking it. This happened to my brother's microphone, making it useless, and I would like to prevent it from happening to my headphones.
I know you can sleeve wires from the PSU, so should it be any different? Let me know what you think, and if you have any tutorials I should follow, please link them here! Thanks! -Trev

Techflex is highly microphonic. So if you put techflex on your headphone cable whenever you move you will be able to hear the movements... which can be very annoying when gaming.
Nylon multifilliment is really what you want. It is soft and supple, and also more durable than regular Techflex. However, it doesn't expand like Techflex so you wont be able to easily get it over the plug. Neither will fully protect the cable if you do roll your chair over it. The best solution would be to shorten your cable so you have exactly the length needed. Then you won't have the excess cable falling to the floor where it can be stepped on or rolled over. Shortening is very easy, just requires a new plug, some solder know-how and some heatshrink. This would also be a good time to add sleeving.
