They are the same price over here, which have the best quality when it comes to music. I also plan to pair these with either a ASUS XONAR or Creative Xtreme Audio. Its a gift for the old man

Well, the M-Audio model seems to have some potential, wile the JBL invested more in design. It's all up to your needs. Do you want something that could give some sound at that price level, or you just redecorated your room and need something to go with that new desk.

Sound always comes first unless they look..... bad like real bad.
