because i get dodgey qaulity in some of my newer games.. cod5 for example.. i'l try the 2.09's.. if not i'l go back to my 2.04 that came standard

I've never heard of this problem before. But if it goes away when you change drivers, it's not vista.

You are looking for something like this. When you installl Realtek Drivers, they are always enabled by default
