Yup. And I'm about 85% sure the XTremeMusic is the card with the $10 Mod you can do to get amazing quality out of it. Someone else correct me if the XTremeMusic wasn't the card Soloz2 was modding for everyone a little over a year ago.

It's called an Opamp mod. If you have steady hands and aren't afraid to ruin your card, it will increase sound quality significantly.

Soloz2's modded xtrememusic sold for around 200 if I recall correctly. The quality went up a LOT.

I am interested in the X-Fi Platinum mentioned earlier. What exactly does "refurbished" mean? were they rma's that got put back into stock? This looks like a really good deal, Ive seen em for almost 200 before. I really like the I/O front ports because I listen to headphones 90% of the time and the front ports on the case leave much to be desired.

Ya, refurbs are typically ones that were sent in for RMA for whatever reason. They fix them, do some testing, and make sure they fully function when they sell them. However, Refurbs usually have little to no warranty, so if something goes wrong, you're pretty much SOL.

I love my Xonar HDAV1.3, it sounds amazing, and I'm sure the normal DX sounds pretty decent too. Also, it worked in Linux with no trouble at all.
