Hello everyone,
Before I start I want to thank everyone for viewing this thread, even if you don't leave any feedback. I have a PC, MacBook, and an iPod Touch that all need new sound equipment so I have complied what I have found to be good equipment. (My budget is around $100) First, I want decent speakers to play my music. One day I may want to play music out of my PC and one day I may want to play music out of my MacBook so I need speakers that are reliable. (I won't be traveling with these, just on my desk). Next, I want headphones (I hate in-ear headphones and the stock iPod Touch headphones) to be able to listen to music out of my PC and iPod Touch. With my PC, I'll need a mic, with my iPod touch I won't. (I also believe they are different size jack). For this, I was thinking of getting 2 pairs of headphones (One for PC with mic) (One for iPod Touch without mic) Here are some solutions that I have found on the web that I think will fit my criteria. Please make any suggestions that you have. Thank You! ![]() (Speakers - To play music out of PC and MacBook) (Headphones with mic - To play music out of my PC and use mic - When I am not using my speakers I'll use these) (Headphones for iPod Touch - To play music out of my iPod Touch) <--- (These are a little pricey)

I like the Z-4 40s as the choice for speakers, but I think your choice of headphones could be revamped. Getting a desktop or clip-on mic with some quality headphones that can be shared between the Ipod and computer would be a better way to go. How much could you spend on a mic and headphones combined?

I suggest the HD201 and a Zalman Clip-On Microphone for the headphones.

I've owned the HD 202s, which are a the 201s bassy brother, and can say that for the price they can't be beat. Since you have a bit more money to play with here's what I would suggest Zalman Clip-on Mic and either the HD 202s if you like bass or the HD 201s if you like a more rounded sound. Also there is the Koss PortaPro. They are suppose to be pretty good for their price.

I'd personally spend the entire budget on some headphones and clip on mic.

Haha yeah I know! The rig I have now does everything I need it to so I'm happy but my next rig will definitely have a nice sound card.
