Sound Card under $60USD
Sup.
So yeh, I'm looking to get a decent soundcard for my HTPC. Budget is pretty tight: ~$60USD PCI or PCI-E Any suggestions? Even just links to threads that already asked similar question is good enough! Thanks!

Instead of buying the extreme audio, you can buy an audigy se and use modded drivers and it will be almost just like having an extreme audio. The audigy se is like 10 bucks maybe 20 if you get it at best buy or sumthing

what is the card gonna be doing?
if it'll do gaming, find a used x-fi xtremegamer. you should be able to find one at the top end of your budget and it benefits from being an actual x-fi chip. but if it's main use is gonna be for, well, an HTPC. it'll depend on your setup. does it need to do Dolby Digital or DTS? do you need a digital out to a receiver? for the latter, i'm not sure which ones would work well.
