Hello audiophiles, I need some good cheap "cans" if I am using the right word there, if you could please point me in the direction of ones that would great for < $100 CAD, they need to be able to take some abuse as I am clumsy and will forget I'm even wearing them and leave. They also need to be able to sound good playing music loudly / shooting games loudly.
Edit: they could preferably have a mic on them so I can talk to people with them too.

Anyway, since the RX700's arn't in Canada unless you import them... JVC RX900 @ Newegg Canada http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16826262103 Then 'mod' them: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/jvc...-about-381303/

the RX700 but it'll cost more to import it than buying the RX900 from Newegg. The Mod is relatively easy to do.

The RX900 has more bass that flows into the mids = not a good thing.
RX700 = more balanced. I'm sure Ourfpshero and RallyMaster can give you more details as they do own both cans. The JVC HA-DX1 is another to consider @ $108CAD. http://www.110220volts.ca/Merchant2/...ct_code=HA-DX1 Impressions of DX1 (VS. RX700 and RX900): http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/jvc...ssions-391873/

Either get a buddy from Overclock in the US to buy oen for you and import it to Canada (however I have heard the horror import stories from US to Can) or here
http://www.seyo-shop.com/product.php...t=15090&page=1 That said, they are in super high demand and AFAIK, JVC won't be producing another batch for another 1/2 a month or so. Email Seyo to check if they're available. They are available at buy.com as of course, that's US only but maybe a kind OC'er can help you out. Or buy the RX900 and mod them. There's instructions and pics in that link and is rather easy to do.
