As for the topic, I bought my Mum a pair of HD201's for her birthday. I listened to them for a while (with onboard), and they sounded brilliant. Much better than her old ones. £15 well spent.
Hmm...I would disagree there. I think the X-Fi Crystallizer makes the music sound harsh.

I went ahead and picked up a set of these as well until I figure out how much I want to spend on a high-end set. It's pretty hard to argue with $16 shipped for these phones.

I bought a pair of HD201's and the zalman mic from the sticky thread. I wrapped asmall piece of cloth around the cord to make the zalman mic latch on, since the cord was too thin. sofar, it seems fine. after a week, the sound has improved. I never thought of myself as having big ears, but these feel a bit snug on my ears.

just a slight bit of crystallizer seems to make sounds that would be barely audible a bit more noticeable. I think i use 12%. It can sound harsh when set too high.

Played CoD4 with these on. I learned that you can hear a lot of bullet wizzes. Like... all of them.

Also: I don't think I'll ever finish FEAR now if I play it wearing those.

System: Well... it's certainly clocked... and bright.

Still have to go get some tacos with that money... And chinesekiwi is right, KSC-75s are awesome if you can get past that they're clip-ons. It's the only reason I don't use them.

And Decade is a noob.

I own a pair of 201's and they do sound very nice for the money.
My only gripe with them is the lack of bass. That and you really need an amplifier to get proper sound out of them.

I have never heard a pair of 202's to give you comparison. I can tell you though if a decent amount of bass is important then you need to look else where.

FYI: ktxpro1 use similar titanium drivers, only with a reasonable headband. Supposedly they're at least as good as ksc-75.

Hd202 from what i've read are not as good quality as hd201. IMO hd202 are WAY too bassy. Of course im not crazy about loads of bass anyway...
