Default HD 201s.

I just bought my friend's pair for $8 ($5 shipping and some money for a few tacos). These are replacing my Sony MDR-G42 headphones that are about 5 years old.

I'm not allowed to say what I original said due to the... colorful... adjectives used. But I do believe I just experienced my first "eargasm". Just a day and night between a set of cheap headphones, and cheap headphones from a quality manufacturer. Unbelievable.

Excuse me while I introduce my ears to the wonderful sound of Pendulum.

System: Well... it's certainly clocked.

I have the HD201, they are probably the best cans under $20. You will probably jizz in your pants if you upgraded your Audigy to X-Fi XtremeMusic.

It's actually soft modded to a regular X-Fi Xtreme, just unable to use the "crystalizer" and the emulated surround sound dealios.

The crystallizer is the best bit of the X-Fi Xtreme's.

It makes music sound much less flat.

As for the topic, I bought my Mum a pair of HD201's for her birthday. I listened to them for a while (with onboard), and they sounded brilliant. Much better than her old ones. £15 well spent.

Nah, the Koss KSC-75's are but they're intended for portable use + they're of clip-on design.

My HD201 was the best $18 spent. It sounds amazing for what it's priced at.

That would be right for a full-size headphone. Buy some KSC-75's and you'll see what I mean

KSC-75 = $5-6 at some selected Ratshacks! Come on!

Back to topic though.
