Some metal songs with lower tunings if you want to test the sound of your bass.

Basically what I would listen to while testing.

I would suggest Grace especially because of the false acoustic intro (before your face gets ripped off).
Hells ya .

The whole music war thing is really stupid. Everyone should be able to listen to what they want without being scrutinized, that's why fanboys (cough apple cough) piss me off.

Have you even ever heard ANY of the songs i've listed. Cause i'm pretty sure X&Y by Coldplay is a pretty clean and decent song. Maybe your speakers suck. Cause on my Z-5300e which aren't even the best out do not give me distortion.
I meant distortion as in the Loudness War.

Oh don't worry, I like my metal too, it's just Lamb of God, Arch Enemy etc.. just isn't the best to test out a system on. You don't see roadies or audio engineers tuning their bands setups to them for a reason.

The best music for testing Speakers, is music you already know!
That way, you will know if it sounds better

For testing bass at his club, my buddy would always use "Blur" by
Lassigue Bendthaus from their album Render. For him, it was about testing the super low end. For personal listening, it's great for that and also for judging the different base levels and how discreetly they come through. Awesome album too, by the way.
