its probably a pretty silly question
![]() but here goes.... i currently have the logitech x530's, nothing special.. and was looking to upgrade to the z2300's sometime soon. there's a control pod for the z5500's going cheap on ebay & i was wondering/hoping if its possible to use this with my x530's or even the z2300's. im pretty sure the obvious answer is no, but can someone enlighten me on the issue? just for a learning experience ![]() cheers!

He wants to put the control from Z5500 to his speakers...
I don't believe you can do it... I have the x530 and this things are very old... The Z5500 does have digitals controls while x530 doesn't....

well the z5500 control pod hooks up to the subwoofer via a d-sub connection. all the audio input signals go through the pod and to the woofer amp and then to all the speakers. so unless the system you're getting has the exact same d-sub connection i doubt it will work.

correct me if im wrong, cause i usually am... but i think the x530's have a similar architecture. except the "control pod" is essentially a headphone jack & volume knob on the front right speaker.
Input goes to > Front Right Front Right (all audio signals) goes to > Sub through d-sub cable Sub/amp outputs to all speakers. only difference i can see is that the "control pod" is built into the front right instead of freestanding. hence, the sub/amp doesnt output to the front right. seems like it may work, but then as ivan said.. "digital controls"
