Better sounding than the HD555 (yes, better @ $34) after a bit of burn-in.
Better sounding is so subjective. This is not apples to apples.

If you guys think the RX700 would be my best bet for my low price range, then I guess I may get those.

Although Newegg reviews said they need a lot of power and they don't sound that great on an iPod (Or a Zune in my case). That's kind of disappointing, although I'm sure I'd almost always just use my earbuds for my Zune, for the portability.

chinesekiwi mentioned burning them in, I've heard of doing this before. What exactly do I do for that? Just play music through them for a while, or what? Do I play the music loud, or medium volume, or..?

I just bought the 201s and think they sound great : D The earcup does push against my earlope but not enough to cause any irritation. I haven't tried them with my iPod but I'm sure they would perform well.

Yeah, it's like breaking in a new car engine. With headphones you can force break-in by leaving them on 24hrs a day for a week straight (5 days). Make a a long playlist with different types of music, trance/techno, rock, hip-hop, classical, vocals, etc. That's what I did with my HD595 and ATH-A900, broke them in amped from my living room receiver.

You should not be using the RX700 with an iPod/Zune. It should be plugged directly into your computer (semi-)permanently.

I'd use my earbuds instead anyways I'm sure.
