Hi all,
I recently purchased a Xonar DX card and had it installed, everything works fine except for my front jacks aren't working. I have two questions: 1. The MB has two connections for audion, one is called HD Audio and the one called AC97. I tested both on the card and both seem to work fine. Is there a difference between the two? 2. On the MB, there's a connection called F_audio (Front audio), should I connect something into that? The audio cable is too short to go from the Xonar to that. Either way, could someone tell me how I can get the front jacks to work? Thanks a lot. |

HD audio is better than AC97. Use HD audio unless your drivers don't support it. To get front panel from your Xonar, connect the cables from the front panel directly to your sound card. You do not need to connect anything to the motherboard.

Thanks for the help.
I did plug the cable from the front panel to the card only and I don't have sound on the front. Any ideas? |
