"Good USB Headphones" are 3 words that should never be put together No such thing really exists

USB headphones generally have poor sound quality. I'd definitely go with the AD700's. Huge soundstage and the fact that they're are insanely comfy make them great gaming headsets. Bass is somewhat lacking, but is tight and clean.

There is e.g.

Beyerdynamic MMX2

http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-M.../dp/B001BYOY42

but there are much better 3.5mm headphones out there.

yeah, some bass EQ'ed AD700's are always the way to go for gaming.
Bass is tight and clean but lacks impact.

a lot of user in some forum recommended AD700 even for gaming, its a good headphones for gaming and music in computer without separate amp.

Based on my experience, Sennheiser HD555 is quite decent soundcard for overall use in my PC with an Auzentech Prelude.

Btw here's a good review on midranged headphones for references --> Headphones Review

Ok, I bought some Ultrasone HFI-780's (I got them just over my budget, so not to bad). Ok, I'm pretty sure these will work good, but I would like to maybe put in a sound card, soundcard-amp, or just an amp (I don't know what would be best, internal/external, usb?). Now, I'd like to be below $100, so I can go used too. I've been reading about an Auzentech Forte, but would like to know what you guys suggest. Thanks again for all the help.

Ok, well I found a good price on the Forte and in stock, so I went ahead and bought them. Is there anything I need to do when I get everything installed and running? Any special settings or adjustments that I need to do on the card or headphones for gaming? Or, just plug them in and play (I have windows 7)? Now, will the card self adjust the amp for the headphones or do I need to do that? Also do I need to worry about "balancing" them? I've read so much I'v confused myself. I think I've gone alittle over kill maybe just for gaming, but I hope that it is a set up that will last. Thanks again to all of you for all the help.
