Default are these cheap 5.1 headphones any good?

hi,

i found these headphones on ebay and can get them for around 20bucks delivered. cant find much on the net about them so was wondering if anyone had heard of them. im not expecting much just wana know if there worth buying

I say give them a try, I paid $85 for mine, they are okay on sound. I'd take a chance on them if I was you. Unless you can't afford to lose $20.

I would rather spend 15 bucks more and get these JVCs. 90% of 5.1 headsets are gimmicks and don't sound very good.

EDIT: Oh wait, you're in Australia... well if those phones are 20 Aussie dollars then I guess that sounds like a pretty decent deal.

But seriously: "5.1 headsets" are a gimmick. They are often low quality and always overpriced. I would definitely recommend a nice pair of high quality stereo cans - as would 99% of people.

I have owned 5.1 headsets in the past, and I can honestly tell you they are not worth it. They sound bad for music, they sound bad for games, they always break and they have constant driver issues.
