Okay. I recently purchased some ATH-A700's and a Zalman Clip on mic to play games with my friends... (http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microph.../dp/B00029MTMQ) <- that's the mic.
Here's my problem: In vent, the mic picks up some static and my voice (So it's a little annoying). When I try to use it in game (TF2, Borderlands), it's just pure static and no one can understand what I'm saying... Can anyone help me fix that?

Try playing around with the mic level, enabling and disabling the mic boost to see which one works better. Also experiment with the mic at different positions and distances from your mouth. Sometimes with those kind of mics, closer isn't always better.

I already played around with mic boost/levels, etc but the static was still present.

Have the mic about 20cm down the chord away from your mouth. It will still pick up your voice, but it won't pick up your breathing (which is probably what is causing the static).

I kept the mic away from me and just left it there and held down my talk key in Vent. The static is still there so I guess it isn't my breathing. And yeah I tried to lower it, that didn't fix it.

Is it plugged into the front panel or the back panel?

Try relocating it to the back panel and see if you still get the static. Front panel connections often cause static because they run an audio signal through the all the electrical noise going on inside your PC.
