Default installed Ubuntu 9.1 now no sound in Vista

so I dual booted Ubuntu 9.1 onto my Vista desktop, which went along fine. I was all excited and figuring out how Ubuntu works. Of course the sound was working and everything was fine. I restarted my computer and booted into Vista and for some reason the sound wasn't working. My speakers were on, I double checked all connections and even reinstalled the drivers with no luck. The sound continues to work for my Ubuntu partition. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy... what's going on?

That's odd. It must be a vista driver problem. I would go into device manager and un-install the soundcard, then do a "scan for changes" in device manager, and let vista take care of the drivers.

yeah that actually worked! I totally got rid of all the drivers and uninstalled the sound card, reinstalled the card and everything worked out alright. Rep + thanks a lot!
