I have a really nice headset and I love the 5.1 surround it offers. If I'm using my xbox with my television via HDMI. Is there a way that I can plug my Xbox into the line-in port of my sound card so that I can use my headset instead of my garbage tv speaker.
__________________My headset is true 5.1 surround and runs off of my sound card (NOT a USB interface) Also.. If i even CAN get the sound to run through my PC.. Will it be able to generate 5.1 with my games?

I'm not really sure what your Xbox HDMI cable looks like. If you have the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Series sound card, for the best sound experience you'll need an optical cable to plug into the sound card's input, but also a way to hook it to the Xbox, then you can plug the headset into the sound card, and there you go. I know Monster Cable has component cables for the Xbox that have an optical out plug, if you're willing to sacrifice HDMI.
Alternatively, you might just need one of these. Came with my Logitech Z-5500's. Radioshack probably carries them. ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't really see the point though, considering the Xbox doesn't put out in surround sound, I think.
