I've been using my pair of Shure's for a few years and I haven't liked how they hurt my ears after a while after prolong usage. Anyone know of some comfortable in-ear headphones while keeping nice sound quality/sound isolation?

Custom IEMs(You get a mold taken of your ear)...but they can get a bit expensive.

I'm definitely a fan of the UM1's comfort but completely against the sound signature of the UM1 which is muffled and absolutely lifeless. I find my JVC HA-FX66 to be musical, fun and easy to listen to in comparison. UM1 is fine for airplane rides because the long tips are extremely good noise attenuators but it's piss-poor for music.
To the OP: Overall, I find the IEMs that have cables that go over the ear to be the most comfortable. UltimateEars comes to mind. What's your budget anyway?

budget?
music tastes? low-end Shures in terms of their in-ears = not so good value wise tbh. Shure full-size headphones = the complete opposite lols. Causing a lot of waves, even in the recording industry.

The Zune ones are pretty comfortable, and go for $40, although I'm sure you could find them cheaper some place else.

I currently have the new revision of the e4c. I had to RMA mine since it died, so I got an equivalent one since they discontinued the e4c (not exactly sure which one that is). I don't really like the ear pieces that come with it, but I'm using one of the black molding ones that it comes with.
It's not very comfortable in long sessions, so I'm looking for something that would suite me there. Sound quality I would like to be at the same level at least and it does not necessarily need to be really cheap.

Westone UM3X's with UM56 custom tips...well worth the money and easier to resell if you get tired of it.
