Hello everyone,
__________________Ok so I have the 780i Motherboard with 3x SLI. I have 2 285's in SLI that were in slots (top to bottom) 1 and 3. I recently got the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi PCI x1 slot (the smaller one). And I had to move my GPU in slot 1 to 2. So now I have (top to bottom). Sound Card, GPU, GPU. So my proublam is I plug all the connections in the back of the computer and plug the moniter in the DVI slot. And when I turn on the computer nothing comes up on the screen. IDK what the proublam is. I still have the Onboard sound activated and the sound card installed. Should I take out the sound card and Deactivate the Onboard audio befor installing the soundcard into the motherboard? I hope someone can help shead some light on this. Thanks guys. - Paul

Also, I would definitely disable the onboard audio before installing a soundcard.

The 780i supports tri-sli (and thus you can use any combo of slots.)

I understand that but All 4 of the DVI slots on the GPU's arn't showing anything on the moniter. What should I do? I don't know.

I mean do you have to have a GPU in Slot 1. It's going to block the Sound Card?

you don't have to have a PCIx1 device in an x1 slot, you can put it in an x16 slot if necessary. If this board has SLI, you should go back to your old config. and put the sound card in slot 2. GPUs back to slots 1 and 3
PCIe rule: If it fits, it should work. Having your GPUs spread apart will provide for the best airflow.
