I just bought this card from a local. Anyway, do i need to connect the power cable to the card? Because i can't seem to get the front I/O panel to work. Do i just need to connect the big cable alone or w/ power cable plug in the card as well? Also does the remote control have any light to show that it's working? Because i can't use my remote and i don't know if it's broken or just because the front panel is not working. Can someone take a pic of how you connect the card and the front panel and also a pic of the power cable as well? I can't find the power cable in my box. Thank you and rep+ for sure.

you just need to plug in the front drive bay panel into a floppy power connection

You just connect the "IDE looking" cable from the card to the front I/O Panel. Then you connect the power cable they provide to a MOLEX 4 Pin cable on your PSU to the I/O Panel. (Also I think its the same connector that Floppy Drives use, although not 100% sure.) I can't comment on the controller as I can't seem to find mine... >.<

The Floppy cable is the one with 4 tiny pin right? I haven't used it for a while so i'm not sure lol. I don't have the original power cable that come with the card because the guy lost it be4 sold it to me. After i plug in the Floppy cable it's still saying Unavailable in my control panel.

Ok i got the front panel to work because i just plugged in my headphone and it works. However i still can't get the remote to work, it doesn't do anything. I'm not sure if the way i plug in the floppy power cable correctly or not. I read somewhere that the IR receiver needs that power cable in order to receive IR from the remote.

Yes, it's the smallish 4-pin power cable. You tried new batteries and everything right?
__________________There is only one way to plug in the power cable so if it went in smoothly like it should then the hook-up is good. The only other thing I would recommend is that you make sure you have the proper (and latest) drivers installed or reinstall just in case.

The remote only works if you have the full software suite installed. Try installing Creative Media Source and see if that helps.

I installed the Media Source but i couldn't find anywhere the Remote Option so i can enable it. The only piece of software i might have to try is Create Media Center but it refused to install in Win 7 due to incompatible i think. I heard that there's DanielK´s driver something that work perfect for X-fi card right? I'm not sure about this info.

Ok i just download the DanielK's support pack 2.0 which is for Win 7 i think. One question, do i just run it directly or i need to remove the current Creative driver first? Thank guys.

Definitely uninstall your current driver first. Also, the new Daniel_k driver doesn't have the full software suite included - just the necessary driver and control panel.
