Default Most expensive speakers in the world.

SPEAKERS
$250,000
German Physiks

The Dutch firm Kharma claims to have made the most expensive speaker system ever: a monstrous $1 million set said to have been custom-created for a rich Belgian. But German Physik has the priciest non-custom speakers around. The Gaudis can reproduce the sounds of individual instruments in a recording, the company says. Plus, with hand-buffed lacquer finishes, they look very cool. Then again, for this price you could just hire the orchestra.

For more information, check www.german-physiks.de.
got this from forbes.com, talk about expensive speakers. I will update when I find new info

I was wondering when they would have a chanel for each instrument. I always thought it would sound better that way because you don't have all the instruments mixed together in one cone.

Technically speaking, the most expensive just depends on the price. It's the highest quality that matters. I could tell you my old dell 2.1 speakers are now for sale for 3 million dollars. That is the highest priced speakers.

But I imagine they're maybe the highest quality and not just highest priced?

"Then again, for this price you could just hire the orchestra."

I love that, hahaha!

bang and olufsen make some of the best speakers I have ever heard in my life. They have stores over the country, I reccomend going to one. Any time you go to buy speakers some other speakers, becuase you can't afford the 17 grand price tag on the B&O's, you will always say they aren't as good as those B&O's I heard. Far better than any Bose system or any movie theatre or cinema I have been in in my entire life they look like space ships well worth the money if you ask me.

B&O isn't known for high quality sound among the audiophile crowd and are easily surpassed by Wilson Audio, Linn, Vandersteen, Cello, etc. As far as the above being the most expensive, that's got to be an old article. There's several I can think of that are more expensive and also more exclusive. Here's what I would want with no price range. (they're $50k)

Match it with 4 of these at $20k/piece and you have a system for under $130k that I'd put up against anything at any price.
