Default Best sub for $200-275?

I've been looking at this one for a while, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-130-_-Product
and one that i cant find right now (forgot to bookmark), its $200, 300w, two 8" subs that had really good reviews.

Thats about all i can find, im not very tech-savvy when it comes to subs, I just want to be able to rattle my house. Also, if you link another sub, could you please also link an adapter that would be used to hook it up to the back of my mobo? I have the basic 5.1 plug-ins.

Thanks in advance!

Thats a decent sub, I actually own one. But I would never pay $250 for it (I got mine for free ). Over the holiday season that same unit was going for $100 shipped on newegg.

How much would the entire setup cost? I'd have to get an amp and whatnot right? If u can give me a how-to and hit me up with some links I'd be glad to try it out.

I'm sorry but thats a dumb idea. car audio != home audio. They are designed for completely different environments and usually different purposes.

The Pyle pro is cheap because its passive, and its made for pro audio. Which means almost no low bass. Not good for home audio unless built in a box for it.

Polks always get good reviews because its a average Joe doing the review. They are crap. Look in other threads for explanations. I go over it a million times and explain why.

The "truth" I have no clue about. Never heard of the brand. And car subs is a terrible idea since there cheap and crap as well for home use, and ofter even in cars. Unless you want to pay 200$+ for just the driver, in which case go ahead.

As for the 2 8s and 1 12. You wont here the difference so nothing. Some people argue they can but in a blind test would most likely not be able to. The 12 might go a bit lower, but that's about it. The 8s wont have tighter bass like everyone says they do, unless there good drivers, which you wont find at that price.

Helpful buuuuttt... what do you suggest? As you can tell I'm not very knowledgable about this stuff. Should I just buy one or the other, or spend a few more bucks? And if yes, what should i look into buying?

For a recommendation... there is not much in that price range. Most I would recommend are 300-600$.

Although if you really don't want to spend too much, a Polk is fine. Just remember they are cheaply built, and if you are accustom to good bass, and buy a product without hearing it, its is your own fault.

Try and go to your local future shop, best buy etc, and ask to listen to some of there subs, they often stock cheap klipsch, Polk, and energy products.

Look around, there are tons. Search the internet, and try to find professional reviews. Take your time and don't rush the purchase.

Heres a few stores, instead of me recommending 1. Klipsch and kef makes good products.

This is hands-down the best sub in the $150-300 range. Great tone, and tons of output. Nuff said. Read the reviews.
