Please recommend me a good headset for around $100. Primary use would be gaming. I'd like it to have a mic but would rather not sacrifice sound quality.

http://www.buy.com/prod/sennheiser-h.../90131764.html I know it's not under 100. There should be places who do have it for that price though. Amazon decided to change from 85USD to MAP, which is 130. >.<

They are just as good as the HD555s in music.
HD555s just have slightly more bass.

Thanks -- I ordered the 700s!
__________________Also, for gaming, how much will using ob-board Realtek HD Audio hurt me? I.e., will the headphones be nearly useful if I don't have a diesel $100 sound card to match? I've dreaded the day I have to spend $ on a real dedicated sound card but this may be it.

Let's be serious here. You spent a good deal on your i7 system and you're still running on onboard sound? Time to up the ante and go dedicated.

Yeah, there's really no point in getting a high end headphone if your sound card is onboard...
