Moved PC to new outlet: still buzzing Plugged in headphones to the headphone out on my speakers: buzzing gone Used CD player as input, no headphones: buzzing gone So basically, there is only buzzing when the input is the computer (wether digital or analog input), and when going through the speakers. The buzzing does not go through the headphones, which narrows it down to it coming from the amp.

Yes I'd say the long wires leading to your speakers might be acting as antennaes for the buzz coming of something in that room. It could even be from a regular incandescent lightbulb near the speaker coil or the speaker wire. As you noted it does not come through the headphones then it probably is from the unshielded speaker wires, or a bad connection in the amp/sub box.
Edit: The fact that another input device makes the buzz stop is kind of odd, though. You can use the speakers with the CD player and no buzz--or the computer with the headphones and no buzz. Makes we think the computer is introducing some noise because of an impedance problem from a shorted cable or connector--might be worth inspecting all your cables and connections...

Well the sub makes the buzzing too. The amp and the sub are in the same box, so it cant be long, unsheilded wires. The only lightbulb I have is on the ceiling fan/light.

Any possibility of hooking up to a different rig? might help to isolate the problem.
