Default Klipsch 5.1 and 2ZS

I just got a set of Klipsch 5.1 and they seem to have alot of distortion due to bass in the mid range speakers. Can I use the card to filter out this or do I have to result to soldiring caps inline? If I upgraded to the XFI would that make a differnce. I know everyone says that they love it but how different can it be?

The difference is HUGE, as for distortion, are all your cables in properly? are the connections secure? are the speakers far enough apart?

Think of it a bass being low ocatave bass being put through a 3in midrange speaker. What I am looking for is a sound card or software that will allow me to have an equalizer for the fronts, rears, and subwoofer individually. Currently I can only do the system as a whole. In car audio I would have this ajustment through a good head unit and the amps driving the speakers or a seperate crossover. I believe this system has the potential to create great sound but it sounds bad now.

Yes the XFI would give you full control over the Bass and a equalizer as well. I have yjr klipscg 5.1 and I sure don't have the problem you are talking about. I lo9ve mine and thry sound great

I checked Creatives website and I should be able to conrtol each speaker with the 2ZS but I cant find it. Has any one here actually went form a 2ZS to X-FI and seen a noticeable difference? I just cant imagine there would be an audible difference other than distortion filtering which usually takes place in the amplifier and speakers? I know they talk about better 3D rendering but I am happy with the current version.

Hope someone can give me an east button to push to figure this one out. I don't know if it is the card or Speakers.
