Default sound lockup and video glitches

Hi all,

I have multiple symptoms, but will post here since sound is the predominant issue. I recently upgraded to a geforce 6800 GS, and started having power supply issues. PC would just shut off on its own. Installed new 500 watt power supply and a PCI slot blower fan underneath the video card while in the case. I had to relocated my Soundblaster 5.1 down 1 slot to make room for the blower fan, and then another slot lower because I lost left speakers on the first swap of sound card.

Since all this I have video glitches, like light flashes on screen when I play Call of Duty2, and every minute or so I have a sound loop lock with a loud high frequency loop of the ingame sounds (buzzing noise). Is the problem due to the new blower, or new power supply having a different voltage? Should I reinstall video and sound drivers or either?

P4 3.0 on Asus P4C800 MB

Thanks in advance for any help

This is a really technical issue men. What you may want to try it:
In your display properties I THINK there should be somewhere saying Hardware Acceleration, try to lower it. Make sure you have compatible drivers. Now for your sound card, make sure you have corrects drivers 2, in Sounds and Audio Devices, try to do somekind of sound test

NOW
Go in run and type
dxdiag
allow it to check for certificates, now go into the display section and do all the test they propose you, then go into sound/audio... and do all the test.
That is what I can do for you to help troubleshooting the problem.

The problem is the IRQ resources, since you moved the card, the IRQ is saying *** M8 WHERE ARE YOU?!!? just uninstall the drivers and re install them.
