Hi just purchursed a new sound a CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER AUDIGY SE. It works really well in Windows and u can tell its made a diffrents. Now on BatttleField 2 it sound good with the in Hardware and sound quality in High and EAX on, But once people start talking no voice convo but the MEDIC or Thanks etc its all judders. I have been told this card does support hardware but it must do as it works in the game and sound really good, only buggers up when a solider speaks.
PS, What is the PHILIPS ULTIMATE EDGE 5.1 like? Does that support hardware?. Thanks Luke |

Well, I know a few people who got that same card, and after a while, became dissapointed with its performance or lack thereof, and ended up buying a new card, I'm not exactly sure what to tell you and how you should do this but I think that you should forget about the Audigy, and go for X-Fi.
If you weren't aware, its (more than likely) the best soundcard on the market and everyone's happy with it and if you go to creative's website it gives you a lot of the details of the soundcard: Sound Blaster X-Fi Demonstration: http://www.soundblaster.com/products/x-fi/demo/ Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic: http://creative.com/products/product...&product=14066 Quake 4 Demo: http://www.soundblaster.com/gaming/quake4/

Was looking at the PHILIPS ULTIMATE EDGE 5.1, On a review of it it said " the Ultimate Edge suffers from the same DirectSound hardware channel impotence of other Envy24 implementations. Without DirectSound hardware channels, the Ultimate Edge's drivers will have to do all the heavy lifting for 3D audio in software". Does this mean it DOESNT support hardware?!. Sorry am new 2 this sort of stuff.

Well when you say "support hardware" I don't even know what you're talking about.
