Headsets are better for music, at least in my opinion. A Nice 5.1 system will be better for gaming and movies. Maximum PC ran an article this past January and stated a nice headset offers better quality for movies and music. But by nice I mean an $800 surround sound headset by Sony. Price/Performance I'd say these are your best bet.

Most microphones come with like sound remover or something (gets rid of bad sound). You'll sound clear from 3 ft. away, yes.

I got mine from OfficeDepot for $10, and it's doing just fine.

Well I think I'm going to get this, since the USB one acts as its own sound card, I don't what to waste my Sound blaster Aduity 2.
