replying to spam threads is a problem. Another one would be duplicate threads. It's a pitty these things can't be more easily prevented.

Agreed, however the spam threads are more annoying than duplicates to me. Especially when people keep posting in them, and bumping the stupid things!!!

if the guy is selling something and linking to another, most likely, dubious site and have only 2-3 posts, it is most likely a spammer.

look for the section where he's posting too, that's might be another clue
