Nooo! Captchas are more annoying than bots. They're cracked so easily these days anyway. Plus, would we want to fend off any of those who are blind?

well if they are blind, how do they read the threads? how do they even for that matter find the site? But color blind people usually have an issue with some of the word ones.

There are captchas that offer choices, it has a word captcha, a sound captcha, etc. let me go find it...

Maybe we just need Captchas until 1 rep. After someone has been seen contributing and not spamming, someone can just give them their 1 rep and the captchas go away.

they have theat captcha on custom pcs web site when leaving blog comments.
the sound file never works but i like the idea that its doing something useful. plus i`ve noticed that you dont even have to spell it right just somewhere near works so there's gonna be a few mis spelled ebooks knocking about from where i`ve typed in
