Ok fine, there is an "Arts-graphics" forum, which is where us camera people hang out.

http://www.overclock.net/art-graphics/

But I'll post a pic for fun..This is a Tone Mapped image, not HDR, for those who are wondering.

HDR takes 3 images to create. This is from one image.

I was thinking that maybe we could expand on it and consider it a part of a digital content section.

Thx I was waiting for my flight to San Diego so had nothing better to do than get carried away

What makes me laugh is when I was taking the picture of the SD skyline someone else walked up and decided to take a picture as well. I didn't laugh when I saw the flash. Then they said your supposed to use a flash at night. Then I chuckled and said Your picture didn't come out to good. They said How do you know. Then I said Those buildings are over a mile away. Only the flash from a nuke would illuminate the city from this range. He gave me a dumb look and said did your picture come out... I said take a look for yourself. Then he started asking me how to take pictures. I said he couldn't get a picture of the city without a tripod and a camera with manual settings. His camera had the settings and I let him use my tripod for a few shots. I then told him that he shouldn't use the flash unless the object is going to be moving. People usually cannot stand still. Buildings can. I also said don't bother taking pics at or around noon. Durring the day only a sunrise and sunset can make a picture into art. But a city skyline at night over water can do it as well.

One of my earliest Digital photographs. I had a Sony Mavica Floppy disc camera for work. I set it on a rock and set the timer. I then wnet into a freeze and captured this nifty pic.

Before this pic my friend snapped this one

The camera before my current snapped this one. Almost a post card lol. Good candidate for HDR considering the brightness of the clouds vs the building.

Yes please! Add a video forum too please and within it, an Avisynth/encoding forum as well!

I'd love to have some fun and friendly arguments with OCNers :D The only other place to really talk about this is Doom9 and it's kinda blah there. Nobody really goes there unless they have a problem or wrote some new filter.

I've been wondering for a long time exactly how many OCNers who like this kind of messing around with video are around... I've never seen somebody talk about it, but in threads like "programs you can't live without" I often see Avisynth =x

Well, maybe they should have a forum under the Arts/Graphics for Digital Photography eh?
Would be nice.

It does eh? It does make you think, honestly I think it may be my best photo to date.

I even used it as my first printed pic from my new printer, and the first printed pic since my SLR.
