I was thinking of something similar. It would be nice to have a thread tool to subscribe but only be notified when the OP replies. I get tired of going to a thread to only see a bunch of "good jobs" or other fluff.

It gets my vote. Not a bad idea, and it could be quite usefull, especially with the crazy long threads that go OT.
